Host Homes are all about finding the right match between the Individual served and Host Home provider.
Host Home supports is a community-based living option for the person receiving services.
A contractor with New Insights Community Services (NICS) provides supports to the individual who comes to live in their home, and the provider’s residence effectively becomes – person’s home.
It’s a type of shared living arrangement that’s established, with the person supported contributing to costs via a room and board payment.
Additionally, host home provider is paid to support the person to live and become fully integrated into their community life.
The services and supports provided – include formal training, based on the person’s identified goals, as well as development of interests and local connections that enable the person to be a fully participating and contributing member of the community.

Anyone can apply to become a Host Home contractor with NICS. Our goal is to develop the best match possible between the host home provider and the person in need of services.
We do this by recruiting people who may make a good match from the start, so that a Host Home relationship starts off with the greatest chance of success.
We ensure that the Host Home provider meets all requirements and offer them training on how to effectively provide the plan of care – services and supports.
