Mandated Reporter
Mandatory reporters are people who are required by law to report children & dependent adult abuse; and they are a crucial link in the children and dependent adult protection system.
The purpose of this training is to promote children & dependent adult safety by increasing the knowledge of mandated reporters regarding the identification of the signs of abuse and neglect and to explain the process for reporting abuse and neglect to DHS.
Mandated reporters are REQUIRED to take this class every THREE years.
As of 2019 the training is now offered for free in Iowa.
The new trainings will be valid for three years.
